At De Panache Interior Design Firm, we believe a home should nourish the soul. The Puja Room is our most sacred assignment - it’s the spiritual heart of the home, and it must offer a true escape. I’m particularly proud of this design because it’s one of our signature sanctuaries-a perfect blend of traditional respect and contemporary, low-effort luxury. The details that make this design special are: 1. We've framed the mandir niche with a beautiful, ornate archway reminiscent of classical Indian temples. But the key to its serenity is the intricate, geometric white lattice (jali) backdrop. 2. This 'light-on-light' carving, perfected by our own De Panache production unit, honors tradition while keeping the space feeling incredibly airy and clean, not heavy. 3. We intentionally included that gorgeous, custom-upholstered chaise lounge. This isn't just decoration; it's a design directive. We want to encourage moments of meditation and stillness. This comfortable seat transforms the room from a place for a quick prayer into a true Sanctuary of Solace - a luxurious, private space to disconnect. 4. Look at the surrounding walls with their elegant classical moldings. This detail, flawlessly executed by my team, adds an air of sophistication and permanence. It ensures that the Puja space doesn't feel isolated but flows seamlessly with the home's overall high-end architectural language. Honestly, delivering a space that provides such profound peace, engineered perfectly by our in-house team, is the most rewarding part of my work. It reminds me that the biggest luxury we can build is the peace of mind for our clients. What is the one essential feeling you need your home's most quiet space to give you? When designing a home, we often focus on the square footage. But I believe the true measure of grandeur and peace is Vertical Space. Look at this living room: it’s a perfect example of how design height creates an instant sense of pause, calm, and pure escapism. Here’s a breakdown of the design elements we used to create this feeling, which you can apply to any space: 1. This room uses high ceilings and soaring, floor-to-ceiling windows. This immediately draws your eye up, making the space feel expansive, airy, and calming. 2. We anchored the room in classical symmetry using beautiful fluted columns and detailed moldings. This structure feels quiet and enduring. The main focal point - whether it's the TV area or the stunning tall art mural - is framed centrally by these balanced architectural elements. 3. The entire palette is kept in soft, neutral shades (creams and beiges). This ensures that the intricate architectural details (the arches, the molding) stand out without feeling cluttered. The pop of deep red and white in the vertical art mural adds energy without sacrificing the overall tranquility. Ultimately, this design uses architectural grandeur to create a space that feels timeless, structured, and completely restorative. Vertical Calm is the ultimate luxury amenity. #LuxuryInteriors #Neoclassical #VerticalSpace

As an interior designer, I've seen a huge shift in what defines a truly luxurious home. It's not just the grand size of the rooms anymore; it's the quality of your connection to the outside world. I often tell people: Stop thinking of the balcony as a ledge. Start designing the "Outdoor Room." In busy urban centers like Bangalore, that little bit of open-air space,ie., your fifth wall - is where your home gets its restorative power. It’s where you decompress, breathe, and feel a sense of calm. This ability to instantly transition into a private sanctuary is why a well-designed outdoor space is now the biggest factor in the Green Premium buyers are willing to pay for luxury real estate. So, how do we transform a simple balcony into an essential, high-impact room? 1. Blurring the Lines: We aim for seamless integration. By using similar flooring materials inside and out, and ensuring the thresholds are perfectly level, we make the living room feel like it effortlessly expands. It’s not just a balcony; it’s an extension of your home's main entertaining space. 2. Year-Round Comfort: The space must be usable in every season. This means using durable, beautiful materials from custom-crafted millwork for comfortable built-in seating to elegant, all-weather fabrics and smart, dimmable lighting. It transforms from a morning coffee spot into an intimate evening lounge. 3. Sensory Appeal: We focus on the experience. Adding elements like a small, quiet water feature, lush low-maintenance greenery, or textured natural stone flooring engages your senses and helps you truly switch off from the city noise. For us, the execution must be flawless. Treating this space as a custom room with detailed planning for drainage, durable finishes, and beautiful accents - is what turns a balcony into a high-ROI, high-restoration haven. The greatest luxury we can design today is a home that makes you feel effortlessly well. And that begins with your 5th Wall. #InteriorDesign #LuxuryInteriors #Bangalore

I’ve been noticing something beautiful happening in design lately - luxury is becoming more human. It’s no longer about everything being perfect or polished. The most breathtaking homes I walk into now aren’t defined by what’s expensive… but by what feels real. It’s when a handcrafted vase sits proudly beside a marble console. When a mid-century chair shares space with an heirloom rug. When a vintage mirror with a little patina catches the light just right. That quiet layering - of eras, materials, and memories creates a richness no catalog could ever deliver. It’s where design meets emotion. Clients today don’t want “magazine-perfect” anymore. They want homes that feel lived in, where every corner has a heartbeat, a story, a reason to stay a little longer. And honestly, I love this change. Because true luxury isn’t about collecting things, it’s about collecting moments. If your home could speak, what story would it tell first? #InteriorDesign #DesignTrends #Bangalore

Who says your home must be drenched only in lighter hues to feel open and elegant? As someone who has designed interiors for over a decade, I’ve often seen homeowners shy away from darker shades, fearing they might make spaces feel smaller or gloomy. But here’s the truth: dark tones, when designed thoughtfully, bring unmatched depth, drama, and sophistication. At De Panache Interior Design Firm, we believe that your home is your sanctuary, it should reflect your personality, comfort, and calm. A well-balanced dark palette does exactly that. From rich navy blues to bold charcoals and deep greens, these hues ground your interiors and make every element stand out with purpose. Here are a few ways I love incorporating dark hues into interiors without overpowering the space: 1. Go for Ombre: A gradient transition from light to dark adds vibrancy and a sense of height — perfect for compact rooms. 2. Embrace Dark Accessories: From plush rugs to dramatic curtains — dark accents instantly elevate a space into luxury. 3. Mix in Earthy Tones: Olive, brown, and muted greens soften the richness of dark walls, creating warmth and balance. 4. Add Jewel Tones: Think emerald, ruby, or sapphire-inspired cushions — they bring joy and moodiness in equal measure. 5. Play with Lighting: Brass fittings and warm ambient light can make dark walls glow with elegance. 6. Choose Gold Artefacts: Gold or copper-toned art pops beautifully against dark hues, creating a timeless aesthetic. When done right, a dark colour palette doesn’t overpower, it anchors. It tells a story of confidence, character, and quiet luxury. At De Panache, we love designing such soulful spaces that go beyond trends - spaces that feel as grand as they look. #InteriorDesign #LuxuryInteriors #DarkPalette #DePanacheDesign #HomeInteriors #InteriorInspiration
